HI, I’M ALBANIA.

My work is shaped by my own experience and training. As the daughter of immigrant parents, I understand how family, culture, and society shapes the way we live and can stay in survival patterns. These patterns get stuck in our bodies.

Like many of you, I realized that insight and effort alone was not enough to change.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, I see the person from a holistic perspective inside and out. 

My practice focuses on adults who are highly aware and high-functioners keeping it all together, but ready for a slow and steady change for the long haul. 

I am dedicated to help BIPOC and women move beyond overwhelm, overfunctioning, and burnout by reconnecting with their bodies through nervous system healing, so they can live within their capacity, gently expand it, and confidently express their authentic selves. 

Clients often tell me that they appreciate that I am honest, warm, intuitive, and respectful. They like that we include their cultural experience into the healing work.

Specializing In

  • Whether you are overthinking, feeling on edge, or feeling the constant tension in the body, we can work together to ease this.

  • If you are stuck in cycles of chronic stress and burnout, than healing begins in your nervous system. Learn and apply a body-first approach to recovery for lasting relief and nervous system healing.

  • Somatic Experiencing (SE), is a gentle, body-led, holistic model to heal stuck self protection patters in the body in order to feel more nervous system regulation, vitality and empowerment. Great for both trauma healing and stress recovery.

    You will also learn about Polyvagal Theory, which provides the understanding of the role of the autonomic system and different physiological states and how it responds.

  • EMDR is an integrative approach that helps reducing overwhelming emotions into a neutral or minor feelings about a memory, as well as can increase positive self perception. I incorporate a holistic approach with SE, and IFS.
